Hamilton NZ Temple

 

 As part of our Auckland visit we were given the opportunity to attend the Hamilton New Zealand Temple, a two hour drive.  This was a great field trip and enjoyed the beautiful landscape.

We stayed in a hotel for our three day stay in Auckland.  This was the view from our room.

 

 

 

Auckland New Zealand

We made it to Auckland New Zealand.  We will be here for three days for more mission specific training that applies to our work at Liahona High.  Here is a pic as we get ready to leave the Auckland airport with our five pieces of luggage and guess what?   ... it is 5:30 AM as we were on a 13 hour red eye from San Francisco!  Yawn....

 

MTC 3

Our second week at the MTC was instruction from Seminary and Institute where we were taught by some top notch Seminary / Institute instructors and was it a powerful week.  I gained instructional insights that would benefit any teacher and will benefit our approach with the teachers we will be working with at Liahona High School.

MTC 2

Elder Holbrook was our District Leader and here is a picture of the couples in our District who worked together on Preach My Gospel during week one and our young return missionary instructors.  Here is where we are going:  The Indian Reservation Four Corners Area, Fort Collins, CO; Birmingham, AL; Lima, Peru; Rome, Italy; Helsinki, Finland; and Tonga.

Provo Utah MTC

We are completing our wonderful MTC experience.  123 Senior Missionaries were in our group.  This is the largest senior group to enter the MTC in 2014.  And as you would expect, we are all going around the world.  Our experience introduced us to Preach My Gospel and we were stretched as we practiced teaching volunteers who role played as investigators and we taught each other as role played less active members during the week. With stretching comes growing!

Family Support

We sure want to thank all our kids, spouses, and grandchildren for their enthusiastic support.  You were all wonderful to us and we are most appreciative of your efforts to having a great family week and to reassure us on our way.  Hugs and Loves to all of you!
